My name is Jonathan Susman, and music has been at the center of nearly everything I’ve done, both personally and professionally. From discovering my own confidence through performing to building a career around creating spaces where people can connect through live experiences, it has always been about bringing people together and building opportunities for artists to create something new for themselves and audiences alike.

With decades of experience in music, entertainment, and production, I’ve worked in nearly every part of the industry, from performing, booking talent, producing concerts and festivals, and managing event logistics. My time as the Director of Special Events & Programming with the City of Chattanooga has given me a deep understanding of the logistical and relational aspects of event planning, from securing permits and coordinating public safety to navigating city regulations and ensuring accessibility for all, all while creating experiences that drew communities together. Working across administrations and departments, I learned how to balance the needs of event organizers, artists, and the community while making sure events run smoothly and safely.

With Gig City Productions, my focus is on making sure artists, audiences, sponsors, partners, and organizers have the best possible experience. To me, the sweet spot is creating real, meaningful connections through music and live events that are safe and successful for all!
